La Voyeure
For the trainwrecks we love to watch, And for the unafraid train conductors.
La Voyeure is a film-theatre hybrid performance, playing on a continuous loop in an empty cinema. Audience members are invited to view the performance as an installation. Upon entering the cinema, a solo performer (Rosemary) is seen wearing white, and watching the screen. On screen, there are two performers (Rosemary and Morgan), dressed in white, performing a series of small, intimate gestures together on a couch. The live performer in the cinema echoes pieces of the gesture score as she rewatches the film over and over.
