Bardic Inspiration: Dungeons & Dragons for Young People

Bardic Inspiration: Dungeons & Dragons for Young People offers D&D programs for young people aged 8 to 16!

Bardic Inspiration, led by local bards (aka theatre artists) Rosemary Morrison, TJ Tan and friends, invites young adventurers to dive into the fantastical world of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D). Participants create unique fantasy characters, learn the fundamentals of D&D, and explore an imaginative world full of adventure each week! This program emphasizes collaborative worldbuilding, meaning we don’t play with pre-written modules. Instead, participants work together to create new worlds in which their weekly adventures unfold.

This program was created by Rosemary Morrison, through the Creative Spark grant offered by ArtStarts in Schools. The program has now expanded to multiple weekly programs, summer camps and more!

Playing D&D is a great way for young people to engage creatively and build community. Participants will practice:

Self-expression through the creation of a fantasy character.

Collaborative problem-solving by working through challenges and puzzles together.

Storytelling and worldbuilding skills as their actions guide the story each week.

Social and emotional skills through role-play/improv.

Let the magic of Dungeons & Dragons inspire your imagination and creativity alongside your fellow adventurers!
