SFU School for the Contemporary Arts, 2022
Drawing from the theme of Dream Logic, CA253 students will devise a triptych of works to be presented to an invited audience. Inspired by non-linear structures, surrealism, and the device of jump cuts, students will embody the landscape of dreams in Lost Cut, the first work in the triptych.

Artist Statement: We were interested to explore feminized labor and its revitalization in the wake of increased migrant labor and COVID, through the lens of a stress dream.

CALL ME BACK

Artist Statement: Call Me Back explores dreams as a medium for the processing of memories and emotions – a place where we can return to them, run from them, and possibly confront them.

SLEEPY TIME

Artist Statement: Sleepy Time investigates a dream’s ability to reveal our subconscious feelings and to interpret the relationships we have with those around us and with ourselves.
